Stephen King’s “The Mist’ Iterated Anew With T.V. Series
It was one of those movies that will have you drained by the ending – emotionally, and heck, even if you didn’t do anything but sit on your ass watching batshit crazy things happen, physically. Yes 2007’s “The Mist” was quite a ride, and the people at TWC-Dimension Television thought that it deserved another incarnation; this time as a full-blown series.
Based on Stephen King’s novella of the same title, “The Mist” would be receiving some changes in terms of social backdrop with its recent iteration. According to reports, the series would revolve around a brutal crime in a small town when a mysterious, unearthly mist envelops it. Trouble ensues as neighbors and enemies find themselves exchanging roles and affiliations as they fight to survive the mist and the horrors that lurk within it.
Premiering on June 22, “The Mist” stars Morgan Spector, Alyssa Sutherland, Gus Birney, Danica Curcic, Okezie Morro, Luke Cosgrove, Darren Pettie, Russell Posner, Dan Butler, Isiah Washington, Jr. and Frances Conroy. Bob Weinstein, Harvey Weinstein and David Glasser will be at the helm as Executive Producers alongside Megan Spanjian, Matthew Signer and Keith Levine as Producers.
