IT Sequel Gets Official Release Date

After the huge success of New Line Cinema’s film iteration of the Stephen King terror, the sequel to IT has already been set with a solid release date.
The second horror instalment will hit IMAX theatres on September 6, 2019.
Writer Gary Dauberman will pen the script while director Andy Muschietti will be back to direct. According to Muschietti, the child actors will be back and will have a crucial role in the sequel. In addition, a key character, Mike Hanlon will have quite a different role as compared to his novel counterpart.
IT grossed a total of $123.1 Million in its opening weekend, the highest opening weekend for a September release. The film saw Bill Skarsgård as the terrifying, Pennywise the Dancing Clown, along with Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Nicholas Hamilton.
