Scarlett Johansson Whets Our Appetite With Trailers for 2017’s “Ghost In The Shell”
Masamune Shirow’s Seinen Manga hit, “Ghost in the Shell” goes into live action with Scarlett Johansson taking on the role of a special cyborg ops called, The Major.
Set to be released on 2017, sources say that this would follow The Major and her elite task force, Section 9 as they bring cyber criminals, hackers, and extremists to justice. But they are plunged into chaos when the team becomes entangled with the criminal leader known as The Laughing Man whose sole purpose is to rid all of Hanka Robotic’s innovations in cyber technology.
While there is a clear departure from the original storyline, (especially when it comes to the nature and origin of Section 9) the excitement elicited by the teaser/trailer from the fandom is undeniable.
