Ridley Scott’s “Covenant” To A Better Franchise
Following the chaotic events that transpired within that odd curiosity we shall conveniently call “Prometheus”, Ridley Scott had finally resolved into calling his latest Alien installment, “Alien: Covenant”
Yes, Ridley Scott is going back to his dark universe that veers away from Prometheus’ confusing mythology. As far as storyline leaks go, “Alien” fanatics had been teased months ago with a rather interesting gist of “Alien: Covenant”:
Exploring a strange and dark sector, the crew of the colony ship Covenant recovers David, the only surviving member of the Prometheus expedition. Unbeknownst to them, nameless threats and horrors abound in their newfound world as they stand uncertain whether synthetic David is friend or foe.
That is quite a gist. And you know what else got fans climbing on walls? The poster tease with a more-than-appropriate copy:
Yes. There will be Aliens. No. We are not certain there will be Engineers. And we couldn’t care any less.
It had been reported that Ridley Scott had expedited the connection of the past Alien franchise to its resurgence as opposed to the planned further exploration of the Prometheus mythology. And did we say there would be Aliens?
How about you, are you stoked for 2017’s “Alien: Covenant”?
