Hopes Crushed: “Call of Duty: Black Ops II” Not Included In XBox One’s Backwards Compatability Catalog
Call of Duty: Black Ops II fans may get disappointed with Phil Spencer’s recent pronouncement. The Xbox head took to Twitter to refute speculations and hopes that “Black Ops II” would be added to Xbox One’s backwards compatibility catalog.
The business executive sounded rather apologetic upon informing that the game would not be included after directly stating that he is not at liberty to report on any future releases on third party games. As such, the “Black Ops II” rumors on Xbox One are just what they are: rumors.
Released on November 13th, 2012 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, “Call of Duty: Black Ops II” is a first-person shooter video game that follows the exploits of hero Alex Mason during the last years of First Cold War from 1986 to 1989. The game narrative jumps into a fictional Second World War set in the year 2025. It is first in the “Call of Duty” series to feature future warfare technology and employ branching story-telling guided by player choice. The game is also known for its functionality of weapon selection and 3D display option.

o date, it is noteworthy that “Call of Duty: Black Ops II” had been met with the most demand in terms of backwards compatability on Xbox One. On the platform’s feedback site, it had received a total of 211,000 community votes.
While Mr. Spencer’s statement might be received as a downer, it stands that Xbox One has the following Call of Duty Games from Xbox 360:
