One Happy Weekend: Nintendo Switch Surpasses Wii in First 48 Hours of Release
Yes, it had finally happened. Nintendo Switch is out in the market and it had garnered sales that surpassed gaming giant, Wii. And it only took 2 days.
While actual sales have yet to be declared, it had been reported that “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” is currently Nintendo’s best-seller, even exceeding Super Mario 64.
In the United Kingdom, it had been said that around 80,000 units had been sold during the opening weekend. But although the figure is one of note, this had gone below other gaming devices, namely, 3DS with 113,000, Xbox One with 150,000, and PS4, being the most impressive of the bunch with 250,000.
At present, Nintendo Switch is being sold at UK retailers for £279.99, definitely more than what the fans were expecting. In the US on the other hand, it is set to be released at $299.99.
For the aforementioned prices, a Nintendo Switch buyer would be getting the following:
1. The main Switch console
2. A dock
3. A pair of Joy-Con controllers (one left and one right)
4. A Joy-Con grip (to connect the controllers together)
5. Wrist straps
6. An HDMI cable and AC adapter
Are you stoked to get your own Nintendo Switch?
