Mr. Fiaz Shaikh: On His Art, Working Hard, and Putting Family and Health First
Our interview with Mr. Fiaz Shaikh may have been short, but his works over at ArtStation say a lot.
To say that his works are evident of his mastery of the software would be an understatement. Here is an artist who knows what he wants and gets right down to work. But what is noteworthy about Mr. Shaikh is that he advises against working too hard.
Sure, today’s generation tells us to keep pushing hard. From the fields of business to sports, we are told to exhaust ourselves and not compromise. But Mr. Shaikh is wise in that he puts family and health first rather than going for a crazy-almost-obsessed pursuit of one’s passion.
Let us get to know Mr. Fiaz Shaikh in this interview conducted by Xeno Creatives and learn a thing or two about when to hold on to passion and when to let go.
Xeno Creatives (XC): Given your experience in the industry, what do you think is your edge as a 3D artist?

FS: I find the 3D industry to be very dynamic. It keeps on changing and updating at a very fast rate. One had to be continuously on his toes and updated with new tools.
XC: Among the many AWESOME concepts available out there, what stands out for you? Do you have favorites?
FS: I really get mesmerized by all the concepts that I see over the net. I spend hours and hours looking for references. Every day, I find new favorite pieces.
XC: What other concepts do you want to create through ZBrush?
FS: I would love create more realistic and creatures work through ZBrush.
XC: What advice can you give to aspiring artists?
