Michael Gamble: No, “Mass Effect: Andromeda” Would Not Be An Open World Game
In a reported statement by BioWare producer Michael Gamble, he had said that, contrary to community speculation, “Mass Effect: Andromeda” would not be an open-world game.
Gamble adds that he would much prefer calling it an “exploration-based game” with an effectively-woven story. Relating to its structure, it is supposed that “Mass Effect: Andromeda” would be following the narrative of the previous entries within the “Mass Effect” franchise.
Initially released in 2007, the “Mass Effect” series had been originally set as a trilogy revolving around a soldier referred to as Commander Shepard. His mission is to save the galaxy from the Reapers a destructive race of mechanical beings. It has since then grown into a rich universe which had extended into other forms of media. Hitting shelves on May 24th, 2017, Dark Horse’s “Mass Effect: Discovery” is a comic book series that follows a young Turian military recruit who goes undercover to infiltrate the mysterious Andromeda Initiative. The first four issues of the comic book was penned by writer Jeremy Barlow and drawn by artists Fabriel Guzman and Michael Atiyeh.
Recent reports regarding “Mass Effect: Andromeda” had surfaced screenshots of its key characters, namely Sara Ryder and her father along with other people and alien beings.
Also reported, “Mass Effect: Andromeda” will feature weapon naming and crafting, a first for the “Mass Effect” series. Not including a DLC season pass, BioWare has yet to disclose as to how they would be handling add-on content for the game.
Mass Effect: Andromeda would be released on March 21st for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
