Launched back in November 2013, Decima Engine is the game engine developed by Guerilla Games. Popularly known for being utilized in the “Killzone” series, the Decima Engine boasts of tools and features for producing artificial intelligence, physics, logics and gaming worlds. On top of that, it is also compatible with 4K and HDR.

Mark Cerny and Herman Hulst, managing director to Guerilla Games joined Kojima on the PSX panel to talk about the partnership. In a reported statement, Kojima and Cerny had gone through a great deal of candidates for the production. Kojima had been quoted saying that he felt really positive with their encounter with Guerilla Games.
