Kim Rhode’s Sheriff Mills Plays Lead in “Supernatural” Spin-Off
Twelve seasons and going strong – that’s what CW’s “Supernatural” is.
Originally slated on a five season run, the action/fantasy/supernatural drama had been renewed again and again due to clamour from die hard fans.
Now, after its long tenure, news from grapevine tell of a “Supernatural” spin-off.
As the news would have it, the series would be concentrating on one Sheriff Jody Mills. Mills who had played by actress, Kim Rhodes, is an all too familiar figure in the life of the Winchesters. She had been aiding the brothers time and time again in their adventures and misadventures since the fifth season.
According to a source, an episode in the 13th season will be an introduction to the spin-off.
The series shall be titled “Wayward Sisters” (probably a direct reference to Supernatural’s main theme) and would follow a “group of troubled young women… orphaned by supernatural tragedy”.
The spin-off would be headlined by Andrew Dabb, Robert Singer, Phil Sgriccia and Robert Berens as executive producers. An official announcement regarding its premiere date has yet to be made by the CW.
