Killer Instinct Teases Its Next Fantasy-Action Game, “Extinction”
Killer Instinct Studio, Iron Galaxy, and publisher Maximum Games’ “Extinction” is probably the fantasy-action game you’ve been waiting for.
Yes, it has giants! And what’s better? You’re tasked to kill ’em. Bearing some similarities with the Manga and Anime hit, “Attack On Titan!”, in “Extinction”, you get to play as Earth’s sentinel against uber-violent, 150-foot ogres.
“Extinction” would feature skill-based combat boasting of wall-runs and whip-launched vaults that allow destructive air assaults.
In a statement, the studio claimed that the game would have “master dynamic combat maneuvers”. This allows the exposure of the giants’ weakness. They also promised a story campaign characterized as “deep” and completely engaging. In addition, the game would have dynamic side missions and a wave-based “Extinction Mode” for players who would just want to go full-on rampage.

While no other tangible details have been released yet, Iron Galaxy said that it would be showcasing the game at E3 later this month behind closed doors. Interested gamers could expect “Extinction” to be released early 2018.
