Jeff Goldblum Confirmed For “Jurassic World” Sequel

Yes, it seems like no Dinosaur trouble is going to stop Jeff Goldblum from reprising his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm. We last saw the witty and know-it-all, Chaos Theory-thumping mathematician in 1997’s “The Lost World: Jurassic Park” sequel to the massively successful Steven Speilberg wonder, “Jurassic Park”.

The yet-to-be titled “Jurassic World” sequel is slated to hit theaters next summer, bringing together the new generation of Jurassic Park survivors with Goldblum’s more veteran character who had been able to dodge T-rex fangs from the first two dinosaur movies.

Taking the reins on directing is “When A Monster Calls” and “The Impossible” director, JA Bayona. The sequel would still be produced by Steven Speilberg and Frank Marshall with a script penned by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly.

When asked about the project, Bayona had stated in an interview that undertaking “Jurassic World” had been a collaborative effort and that he had integrated much of his being in the project.

Prior to Goldblum’s stint at the revitalized “Jurassic” franchise, he would be seen in November 3rd’s “Thor Ragnarok” this year. The sequel to “Jurassic World” is set to be released on June 22nd 2018.
