Empire Releases, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” Cover

Empire, which had been big on teasing the perpetually-dazed and awestruck geek population, had just released a regular cover featuring the much-anticipated Star Wars: The Last Jedi. And there is just so much we can take.
Just last week, the magazine released a teaser image of what appeared to be a passing of the torch. This had seen what appeared to be Luke Skywalker’s bionic hand passing on his lightsaber to Rey.
Also debuting in the magazine is an image of the new X-Wing called, Black One.
The Last Jedi director, Rian Johnson had stated that the X-Wing had been modified. He goes further into saying that when the vehicle’s pod accelerator was primed, it can increase Poe Dameron’s speed. This ultimately allows him to outrun First Order cannon emplacements.
Written and directed by American director, Rian Johnson (Brick, Looper) Star Wars: The Last Jedi explores the storylines only introduced in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The film sees the return of cast members, Mark Hamill, the late Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Anthony Daniels, and Andy Serkis.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits regular and IMAX theaters on December 15th 2017.
