Batman vs. Two-Face Sees The Last of Adam West as the Caped Crusader
Slated for an October release, Warner Bros Home Entertainment’s Batman vs. Two-Face is Adam West’s last performance as the Caped Crusader.
William Shatner lent his voice as the titular villain, with Julie Newmar as Catwoman and Burt Ward as Robin.
While the 1966 ABC action-comedy was a departure from the dark mythos of the comic book, Adam West’s “Batman” was an instant hit. The series ran from 1966 to 1968 with a total of three seasons.
Television critics, Alan Sepinwall and Matt Zoller Seitz ranked “Batman” as the 82nd greatest American series of all time back in 2016.
Also last year, West and Ward returned as the Dynamic Duo in the animation, “Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders”.
Batman vs. Two-Face is a sequel to Caped Crusaders wherein the Batman universe of 1966 is widely-explored. It follows Batman and Robin’s conflict with Harvey Dent whom did not appear in the 1966 original. Dent will be joined by other villains who also didn’t appear in the hit T.V. series.
