As fast as romantic pairings can lose their luster in the Hollywood landscape, so can casting choices. Apparently, Brad Pitt is no longer in the running as the bad-ass, mind-bending, time-travelling mutant, Cable due to constraints in the actor’s schedule according to director David Leitch.

However, another big name have been dropped to play the X-Men veteran. Apart from former DCEU player Michael Shannon, another fallen Kryptonian had been named as a candidate to play Cable.

Crowe whose Jor-El was written off the DCEU at the conclusion of “Man of Steel”, took to Twitter in an effort to tease/reach-out to Deadpool creator, Rob Leifeld. In the tweet, he asks, “@robertlieffeld thoughts?” pertaining to a fanart of Crowe portraying Nathan Summers in late February. The digital piece was created by one James Raiz who maintains a Twitter username, “boxofficeartist”.

Leitch also disclosed his intention to intensify the action in “Deadpool 2” something that would really be exciting to see as he is half of the dream team at a Hollywood choreography school; the other one being “John Wick” co-director Chad Stahelski.

Rhett Reese, screenwriter to “Deadpool 2” shared to the community of the great dynamic that Cable and Deadpool would be sharing in the film. He mentioned of the gender polarity that the two would be exuding on screen. Regarding this, the writer expressed of the great interest that the interaction between the two mutants would espouse with Deadpool being ridiculously-feminine and Cable being hyper-masculine.

David Leitch’s “Deadpool 2” is set to hit theaters in 2018 with a yet-to-be specific date. The movie is reported to pave the way for a third installment and, interestingly, an “X-Force” movie.
